Ida-Virumaa and Narva

The eastern part of Estonia lays Narva. Narva is located on the Estonian-Russian border. When visiting Narva you must definitely visit the Narva’s Castle. More than 700-year-old Hermann’s fortress has belonged to the Danes, Germans, Swedes, Russians and, finally, Estonians as well. The castle still acquired the remains of the 14th-16th centuries during the reign of the Livonian Order. The stronghold suffered severely in World War II and was restored mainly in the 1970s. years, The restoration work is not over and constantly continues. From tower of the castle has a good view over the Narva and also over the border in Russia.

We make a quit long guided tour in the fort and look at the fort courtyard how the crafts were made in the Middle Ages. Whoever wants, can try out his own hand with bowing or kitting the mats.

We will have lunch at the famous barbecue restaurant Goodwin Grill and after that we will also see Narva’s old down.
